Dale Evans

Dale EvansConference wrestling champion in 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 - the first four-time WSUC wrestling champion. Lettering in wrestling during each of those years, he compiled a record of 104 wins, 15 losses. Named as an NAIA All-American twice, placing fourth in 1972, third in 1973. Selected as WSUC's most valuable wrestler in 1972 and 1973 and as a Stout senior athlete of the year in 1973. In 1972, he won in the Olympics district trials.

 

John Widmar

John WidmarFootball tackle named all-conference as a sophomore in 1951. Remembered as the defensive guard who scored a touchdown in a 53-0 game against Superior. Earned letters in football in 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953 seasons. Lettered in basketball in 1953 and 1954 and captained the team in 1954. While earning his master's degree at Stout, he served as a defensive line coach and as a basketball assistant coach.

 

Darby Worman

Darby WormanLettered four years in basketball, four in baseball and one in football. All-conference in basketball in 1935, 1936, 1939 and 1940 and a team captain in 1939 and 1940. In baseball, the number one starting pitcher for four years, playing outfield when not pitching. Served as an assistant basketball coach, assistant baseball coach and head baseball coach. After graduation, he was on several semi-pro basketball and baseball teams and played professional baseball for two years with the Eau Claire Bears.
