Faculty Development - Year 2
During year 2 we focused on a variety of faculty development experiences, which included:
- New Instructor Workshop
As a group, new instructors participated in activities related to course development and technological integration.
Workshop Goals:
- Participants understanding of student learning.
- Identify characteristics of active learning and student engagement.
- Prepare for teaching in the digital learning environment.
- Summer Institutes
These workshops are developed in support of the Title III goals each year and open to all faculty. This year faculty was provided workshops in Multimedia, Student Centered Learning, and Student Assessment.
- Regional and National Conference participation
Title III funded conference registration and travel fees for 51 instructors to attend conferences of their choice, as they relate to Title III goals. Some of the conferences and workshops attended included: Student-Centered Learning, Assessment, ELI, CASTL.

These sessions were open to the entire campus, but focused as follow-up to the Summer Institutes. The sessions provided opportunities for instructors to share and document their practices.
