What do I need to qualify?
Commit to completing pre-enineering-related courses preparing you to teach the Project Lead The Way™ courses listed below:
- Gateway To Technology™
- Introduction To Engineering Design™
- Principles of Engineering™
- Digital Electronics™
- Civil Engineering and Architecture™
- Computer Integrated Manufactuing™
You will be expected to gain training in at least one area for each year you receive a Teacher Education Scholarships in Pre-Engineering award. Please be advised that more than one class may be needed to complete training.
Special consideration is given to those who demonstrate:
- The ability to compose a quality essay as outlined in the scholarship application
- Above average ACT scores in math, science and reading/English
- Completion of additional math, science and pre-engineering courses required for high school graduation and PLTW courses
- Participation in extracurricular activities, especially those related to pre-engineering or teaching
- Meritorious behavior resulting in special honors/awards
