Doris is a typeface that combines classic serif forms with those found in Celtic manuscripts which is characterized by sharp angles and open counters. The typeface is inspired by and dedicated to Doris Bischoff– a classic American woman, the daughter of Irish immigrants, and a world traveler. She married young and raised four young boys on a small farm in Stillwater, Minnesota. Later, she was a very involved grandmother and spent a lot of time teaching and spoiling her grandchildren. Some of her personal interests included fashion, being involved in her community, and traveling. Doris (the typeface) tries to convey all of the great aspects of Doris Bischoff so that her warmth and personality can continue be enjoyed for generations to come.
