The University of Wisconsin-Stout choirs, under the direction of Patrick Liebergen, will present their annual Holiday Choral Concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 910 Ninth St.

The Symphonic Singers will begin the concert with the Gregorian chant “Puer Natus in Bethlehem” and Mark Burrows’ “Gaudete!,” featuring soloists Andrew Straub and Isaac Bont.

The choir also will perform “Gloria Fanfare” by Jeffery Ames with trumpeters Nathan Grassl and Cory Halvorson, Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Sicut Locutus Est” from his Magnificat and Norman Luboff’s arrangement of “Still, Still, Still,” with flautist Kristine Haasch.

Percussionist Patrick Hoffman and bassist Kori Sericati along with pianist Karen Wilber will accompany the choir in a performance of John Williams’ “Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas.” The men will sing “The Boar’s Head Carol” and the traditional favorite “Stouthearted Men.”

Julie McManus, Alyssa Carlson, Straub, Bont, Kevin Roland and Evan Herold will be the soloists in the Vocal Jazz Ensemble’s performance of a variety of holiday arrangements.

Selections will include “Last Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”

The Symphonic Singers and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will conclude the concert by performing G. F. Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” and “Peace, Peace” arranged by Fred Bock.
