Two University of Wisconsin-Stout students have qualified for a national sales competition.
Logan Woller, of Arbor Vitae, and Evan Hoffman, of Green Bay, earned the right to represent the university at the National Collegiate Sales Competition in March in Atlanta.
Woller took ninth place and Hoffman 18th during the annual Great Northwoods Sales Warm-up regional tournament Nov. 10-12 at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
A total of 48 students from 16 colleges and universities competed.
Woller, as UW-Stoutís top finisher, also received a trophy and $150.
Rachael Lundeen, of Lakeville, Minn., took 12th place but will not compete in Atlanta because she graduates in December. Another UW-Stout student, Bre Norgren, of Eden Prairie, Minn., was 22nd.
The students, some of whom are interested in careers in professional sales, participated in sales role-playing events. All are majoring in business administration except Woller, who is majoring in business education.
UW-Stout is coached by Jerry Kollross, who teaches in the business department.
