University of Wisconsin - Stout

Oct. 12, 2009

The Pride Alliance at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie celebrated National Coming Out Day with a march across campus today.

The UW-Stout organization held a march from the Ally Center in the Memorial Student Center to the Clock Tower Plaza just before noon today. Members of the organization and the campus community banded together and carried a “Be a Safe Face” banner.

“Be a Safe Face” is a campaign to build a caring and inclusive campus climate.

The march was organized to show support of the university’s students, faculty and staff who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
