University of Wisconsin - Stout

Nov. 24, 2008

The faculty, staff and students of the University of Wisconsin-Stout will hold a good, old-fashioned food fight – for a good cause.

Between Dec. 1-12, the campus community is competing to see who can contribute more food to the food pantry – employees or students. All food and cash donations will be given to the Dunn County Interfaith Food Pantry.

The two teams can either contribute food or cash. Points will be awarded based on pounds of food or value of money contributions. For every dollar donated, the points will be worth two pounds of food. Bonus points also will be allotted for certain food items on a preferred-item list.

At the end of the competition the food will be weighed, the dollar amounts tallied and a winner will be announced.

The food fight is sponsored by the Involvement and Leadership Office and the StoutReach Program.
