First Day
Day Two - Packaging
This was our first day orientation. During this session, we learned about what we would do at STEPS.  After the orientation we had dinner and the yellow and green team (that's us!) went for a hike. Then, when we got back, we had a snack and settled down for bed.
We got up early in the morning to go to breakfast at seven. After that we went to packaging. We learned that cardboard boxes are actually "corrugated containers." We also reviewed what the four important things are when it came to packaging.
Then we got to make our own "corrugated containers" and decorated them. We also plastic wrapped pens and sticky notes.

Day Two -  Chemistry
Blue team girls at foundry
After packaging we went to chemistry. We did a lot of interesting experiments. One thing we did was write our names in pen, and scientifically figured out what brand our pen was. We also made things go BOOM!! We saw methonal  bubbles burst into flames. Then we put methonal in a coffee can and lit it on fire. After a while, there was an explosion in the coffee can. It went flying into the air and the lid came off. We also saw corks fly off bottles that were filled with ethonal that got sparked, put a candle out with dry ice vapor, and popped balloons that had hydrogen and helium in them. The hydrogen ones burst into flames, while the helium one just popped (so sad).

We can't wait for:
