On Wednesday we went to chemistry. We learned about helium and hydrogen. We also learned about different chemical reactions and  how to separate different colored dies when mixed together.
This picture shows our chemistry teacher, Marty,  filling the balloon with hydrogen, which is less dense than air and is  highly flammable.  In a different ballon that is not shown is  helium which is not flammable.

This picture stands for foundery. Foundrey is a class where we made our nosecones out of aluminum. We  also made mushroom paper wheights. The nosecones were for our airplanes.
We made both out of styrofoam  first and then  we put them in a  mineral enriched sand.  After we put them  in the sand  we poured  liqiud aluminum on them.  The aluminum was heated to  about 1625  degrees  F.
This picture shows the green team in plastics doing their UW-Stout S's. In plastics they also got to make key chains and a clock tower. Sometimes if you were lucky, you would get a purge which is excess plastic.

This picture is showing the blue team at Foundry. They are taking the hot aluminum parts out to cool. They would cool it by letting it sit in the black sand for a while and then, using tongs, they would pick it up and put it in cold water.
The red team is flying their planes in this picture.

This picture is showing part of the yellow team watching the flying of the planes.
