The first day of camp was very kind of... slow, although it was only half a day.  Steps is  a engineering type science camp. We stay over night in stout college and we all are paired with a roomate. The dorms we stayed in were smaller then I thought they would be. We took a lot of classes like physics, chemistry, packaging, computer classes, math, plastics, and other classes.  In plastics we made a lot of things, everything plastic of course. We made a clock which was shaped like a clock tower, key chains, we got to take the excess plastic that was shaped weird and make that into key chains too. With plastic molders we made a plastic plaque that was about stout college. but, our main project through the whole 5 days was to create an airplane that is controlled by remote control. It took about three days to make the whole thing. Steps was divided into 4 different colored groups. And thats who you where roomed with, your color. As u can tell by my picture I was on the Red team. While we were on the red team we came up with another name and were all decided to call each other the red cherries. We made up a cheer for our team also. The other teams were Blue. yellow, and green. I met a lot of new people here. It was a good experience that everyone should try (going to camp) one in their life. Monica>>> was of the people I met. Along with a lot of new people from the other teams... It was a fun week.
                                      Camp

When I first arrived at camp I received my two red STEPS shirts.  My roommate was very welcoming and made me feel more confident about camp.  I learned a lot and made a lot of friends.  The dorms we stayed in at Stout were really hot because it was so humid and the air conditioning wasn't on.  I could tell I was not the only one nervous.  But through the week I noticed everyone was getting along.  We did classes such as Physics, Chemistry, Packaging, Computer classes, Plastics, Math, CAD, Foundry, We made our airplanes, and more.  We did activities such as going to Dairy Queen, the public pool, to a factory that was 150º at the hottest,  having a karaoke party, a historic house, and climbed a rock wall, went bowling and went to a Menomonie Band.  I learned a lot of Science and Technology stuff that I didn't know of before.  I had a lot of fun at this camp.  We also made a lot of stuff here, such as a clock tower and holder, a plastic logo, key chains, a packaging box and decorated it, a paper weight, and more.  I had a great time and will have lots of memories of how I made people laugh by doing funny things.

Blue, green, yellow and red all working and listening in class.
