Welcome to STEPS at Stout.

Welcome to our page that we made about our experiences at STEPS. Our names are Rachel, Emily, and last but not least, Robin. We made this page to help you understand what we did this week at STEPS. The most important part that we did this whole week was make parts for an air plane.

                         STEPS
            The foundry

We went to the foundry to make our nose cones to put on the front of the plane. Here is Robin when she was making her styrofoam nose cone. Next after doing that we turned them into mettle and we put put them on later. We also made mushroom paper weights. here is a picture of Emily and two other red team girls making the paper weights.

                                   Packaging

The next day we went to packaging and that is were we made the body of the plane. We also got to package a marker and a pad of paper. We also made a cardboard box to put things in from camp. But as soon as we said cardboard box, out teacher corrected us and kept telling us that it was not a box but it was called corrugated.

                               Air Plane

On Tuesday we assembled our plane. What our assignment was to finish putting together our plane. First we put our tails together. Then we assembled the body and the tail. After that we made the wings and put them on. At the end we were able to put stickers on the plane and then they were ready to fly.
