If you are interested in applying for any of the positions described below, please click on the hall you live in (above) to fill out an application.

  • Applications due Friday, September 13 by 5pm.
  • Election voting takes place on Tuesday, September 17.
  • Elected officers are required to attend training Sunday, September 22 from 6-9pm.

Position Duties


Donít worry if you don't know how to do them all, you will receive training!

Hall Events Committees (HECs) plan events like a work-team. Decisions are made with group discussions. Events are coordinated as a team with everyone doing a little part. These positions help keep us on task & guide the group. All elected officers are required to attend training Sunday, September 22 from 6-9pm.

Hall Chair

-
  • Leads all hall meetings.
  • Manages the making of and hanging of all advertisements for HEC.
  • Recruits reps from each floor.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of HEC events.
  • Meets weekly with the group.

Treasurer

-
  • Creates a hall budget.
  • Balances the books monthly.
  • Gives a monthly budget report at the hall meeting.
  • Meets weekly with the group.

Secretary

-
  • Takes minutes at each meeting.
  • Distributes minutes to RHA Secretary and Hall Director.
  • Post HEC minutes HEC weekly.
  • Meets weekly with the group.

RHA Representative

-
  • Attend weekly RHA meetings.
  • Works on one of the RHA sub-committees.
  • Participate in the RHA carnival.
  • Act as a voice between your hall and RHA.
  • Meets weekly with the group.

Leadership and Events Representative

  • Attend weekly Leadership and Events meetings.
  • Plan and implement Leadership activities, programs, recognition, and to coordinate social, recreational, and educational activities for all residence hall students.
  • Act at a voice between your hall and the committee.

Stout @ Hand Representative

  • Attend weekly Stout@Hand meetings.
  • Conduct research and propose recommendations for all referred issues from the members of RHC.
  • Plan and put on an energy competition in the residence halls for the month of March.
  • Act as a voice between your hall and the committee.
