STOUT'S FENHOUSE, BARE, PINNOW NAMED TO ALL-REGION TEAMS

MENOMONIE – UW-Stout's Cara Fenhouse (So, Superior), Carolyn Bare (Sr, Superior) and Angie Pinnow (Fr, Bruce) were named to the National Fastpitch Softball Coaches (NFSC) Great Lakes all-region teams. Fenhouse and Bare were named to the first team and Pinnow was a third team selection.

Bare is a repeater to the all-region first team, this time being named as a utility player. On the mound, Bare was the Blue Devils' number one pitcher and posted a 15-8 overall record on a team that finished 21-20 overall and won the West Division title. A hard thrower, Bare set a new school single season mark for best ERA (1.00). Bare is tied with Karen Lien as the winningest pitcher in Stout softball history, winning 53 games. Bare finished her career with an ERA of 2.45.

At the plate, Bare hit .330, going 35-for-106, with 20 RBI. Bare also became the career leader in most RBI (85) and most games played (167).

The first baseman when not pitching, Bare finished the season with a .947 fielding percentage and ended her career fielding at a .966 pace.

Pinnow found a home in the Blue Devil infield, starting at shortstop, then moving to third. A powerful hitter, both of Pinnow's home runs were over-the-fence, including a grand slam against Mt. Senario. Pinnow finished second on the team in batting average, hitting .366 going 45-for-123, but leading the team in RBI with 23. Pinnow had eight doubles, three triples and tied Fenhouse for the team lead in stolen bases, nabbing 15 in 20 attempts.
