ReTaste focuses on expanding the palates of picky or bored eaters, and introducing them to more healthy and flavorful foods. The human tongue and brain make perceived flavors very complex. The tongue is about as unique as a fingerprint, with a range between 2,000 and 10,000 taste buds, while the brain is influenced by many other aspects as well. ReTaste uses AI to profile each user and each recipe to match users up with foods that they are guaranteed to enjoy. The branding is playful and approachable to encourage people to step out of their comfort zone.
