OWIE

Emily Turitto

OWIE assists in enriching kids' lives by teaching them that communicating pain is important for a healthy life. Children ages 3-10 are most commonly known for accidental injuries and studies show that they are interested in assessing their pain. The problem is, at these ages kids don’t always know how to communicate their pain to caregivers. OWIE’s solution to the problem is designing a playful pain scaling system comprised of posters, stickers, and cards that helps kids express their pain. Not only will OWIE help kids get through their injuries, it will provide them with a learning experience that can be used for their injuries in the future.
