I Didn’t Vote, Why You Should: Generation Lookout

The objective of my project was to create a series of newspapers, which would

generate interest in America’s history and governmental processes. The overall

goal was to create a generation of informed voters through the information presented.

The program starts in first grade and continues through twelfth grade. The

newspapers are designed for three specific levels; first through fourth grade,

fifth through eighth grade, and ninth through twelfth grade. The papers were then

designed to be interesting to each group of students; they also include a section

of activities for parent/student interaction. When fully realized a teachers manual would

also be included to aid in classroom use.
