The UW-Stout Alumni Association awards one fellowship and three scholarships annually. Below you will find a description of each award. Applications are available beginning in December of each academic year and are due in to the alumni office by February 15.

Robert S. Swanson Fellowship
The UW-Stout Alumni Association awards one fellowship annually. A total plan explaining the use of the stipend should be included and is limited to space on the attached pages. The fellowship may be awarded for several types of study: research projects, doctoral studies, seminars that enhance a program you are now involved in or a program that may aid in a career change. An individual can be awarded the fellowship no more than two times. Click here for Swanson application.

William J. "Bud" Micheels Undergraduate Student Scholarship
The UW-Stout Alumni Association awards one undergraduate scholarship annually, which is funded by the endowed portion of past alumni life memberships. Former Chancellor Bud Micheels' vision for Stout was one ".where art and industry can thrive." This scholarship is being awarded to recognize his vision based on the criteria listed below. UW-Stout Alumni Association Graduate Student Scholarship
The UW-Stout Alumni Association awards two graduate scholarships annually, which are funded by the endowed portion of past alumni life memberships. Applicants must have attained a degree from UW-Stout or currently be enrolled at UW-Stout in an undergraduate or graduate program. The scholarship must be used for a graduate program at UW-Stout. Deadline:
Applications must be postmarked on or before February 15 and sent to the UW-Stout Alumni Office, 320 South Broadway, P.O. Box 790, Menomonie, WI 54751-0790. Three letters of recommendation must also be postmarked on or before February 15 (if not included with application).
